Polish Sejm speaker to visit Republic of Korea
font size

Polish Sejm Speaker Ludwik Dorn will start a five-day official visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Monday, the Polish PAP news agency reported.

In Seoul, his delegation of Polish Members of Parliament will discuss ways of boosting economic and parliamentary cooperation and maintaining political contacts with Korean leaders.

According to Dorn, ROK is one of Poland's most important economic partners. The speaker stressed that the ROK Ambassador to Poland has signaled Korean interest in investments in Poland during a talk with him.

ROK is Poland's biggest investor among Asian countries. In 2005, the overall value of Korean investments in Poland totalled 1.2 billion U.S. dollars and the three out of 10 biggest investments were run by Koreans. For ROK, Poland is an attractive, huge and absorptive market and a member of the European Union.
