Saudi Arabian government has given a donation of 29 off-road 4X4 vehicles, which includes five Toyota (GX) Land Cruisers and 24 Toyota Hilux, to Mauritania.
The donation which was made Monday is part of the 2 million U.S. dollars food aid which was announced for Mauritania by Saudi Arabia.
The donation includes 1 million U.S. dollars for buying food products and another 1 million U.S. dollars to facilitate the purchase of vehicles for the transportation of the relief food.
The vehicles will notably contribute to the improvement of deliveries by Mauritania's Social Security Office in the inaccessible regions in the country.
According World Food Program (WFP), Saudi Arabia is the second biggest source of funds for its programs in Mauritania.
