Joshua Ogunlola of Foundation Cricket Club of Lagos (FCC) has been declared Cricketer of the Series at the Second National Club Cricket Championship held in Abuja over the weekend.
Ongunloa's six wickets for 28 runs surpassed every other player's scores in the competition.
This adds to the numerous awards won by the FCC at the Second National Club Cricket Championship. Other award winners were T. Lukas.
Olayinka, who won the Batsman of the Series, having amassed 37 runs in all matches, and T. Lukas of Crocodiles, who won the Wicket keeper of the Series with three catches.
The Fielder of the Series award went to T. Haruna of Crocodiles while Emma Gowon of Abuja Cricket Club was declared Fielder of the Series.
Outstanding players in the semi-finals and the final match also won individual awards. In the semi-final match between Flying 16 of Benin and Crocodiles of Kaduna, Emma Gowon of Crocodiles' five wickets for nine runs fetched him the Man of the Match award.
Same award in the encounter between FCC and Unity Cricket Club of Awka went to F. Oduebo of FCC, who had three wickets for 14 runs while Kelvin Agbonagbe of Flying 16 won that award in the third place match between Unity and his team.
