Jordan's territory won't be used to launch attacks against Iran: Abdullah
font size

Jordanian king Abdallah was quoted on Wednesday as saying that Jordan opposes any military action against Iran linked to the nuclear dispute and "won't allow its territory to be used to launch attacks against Iran".

During an interview with daily newspaper Alarab Alyawm, Abdullah said that the whole region will "be placed at risk" in case of war. He urged to solve the dispute over Iran's nuclear development plans through "dialogue and diplomatic methods."

"We believe that the Middle East should be free of nuclear weapons that threaten the security and stability of its nations", he told Alarab Alyawm, adding that "we must work for the use of nuclear energy in the development sector".
