Final result of Timor Leste presidential run-off announced

The final result of the Wednesday's presidential run-off in Timor Leste showed that Jose Ramos Horta got 69 percent or 286,260 of the total votes, while Franciscus Guterres Lu Olo 31 percent or 126,525 votes, national electoral commission spokesperson Maria Angelina Lopes Sarmento announced Friday.

Horta is a Nobel laureate winner and incumbent prime minister and Guterres is chairman of the parliament.
