font size

Senior Chinese legislator Jiang Zhenghua met with Singaporean Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong on Tuesday, vowing to promote greater progress of China-Singapore relations.

Jiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, hailed the development of China-Singapore political trust and win-win trade cooperation.

Goh Chok Tong agreed that the two countries have very close relations, adding his country is ready to beef up cooperation with China in the areas of investment, environmental protection and tourism.

Jiang also appreciated the Singaporean government's adherence to the one-China policy and opposition to the so-called Taiwan Independence.
