High-level officials from Brazil, Germany, India and Japan (G-4) on Thursday said they were willing to be flexible in negotiations regarding the reform of the United Nations Security Council.
Officials of the G-4 nations, which are striving for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council, met in Brasilia on Thursday to discuss their long-standing goal of reforming the UN Security Council.
They propose new permanent and non-permanent seats be created for both developed and developing nations, the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
They also said the G-4 countries were ready to negotiate with anyone genuinely interested in meaningful Security Council reform.
