The April Spring Friendship Art Festival staged in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) concluded in PyongYang on Wednesday, with two Chinese art troupes winning "Golden Team" prizes.

The closing ceremony featured high-quality performances from various countries participating in the eight-day festival at the Eastern Pyongyang Great Theater.

The 2,000-or-so-strong audience was enthralled by the distinctive Chinese-style dance performed by girls from China's Hebei Province Art Troupe to the accompaniment of Chinese music.

The Hebei troupe and Shandong Province Acrobatics Troupe were awarded the top "Golden Team" accolade and several Chinese artists won individual golden prizes.

Hundreds of artists belonging to more than 50 art troupes from 35 countries participated in the festival, which opened in the capital on April 10.
