A young Indonesian arrived in Egypt on Sunday on a Ride for Peace trip to explore five continents solo by road on motorbike, Egypt's MENA news agency reported.
Jeffrey Polnaja, an Indonesian also known as Kang JJ, is making the challenging journey dedicated to world peace, which started in Asia from Jakarta, Indonesia on April 23, 2006 and will be carried out in 5 years covering 100 countries across the globe, according to MENA.
The 44-years-old Indonesian, the first Indonesian to travel solo on motorbike around the world, said that his journey is dedicated to promote global peace, strengthen people-to-people ties between Indonesia and the world and promote motorbiking abroad as a symbol of spirit and adventure, independence and freedom.
Having visited Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, Jeffrey Polnaja will tour Africa and then cross to Europe.
After a trip to most of the European countries, he will visit America and Australia. He is expected to be back home in 2011.
