The United States and South Korea committed more than 160 cases of aerial espionage against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in March, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Saturday.

The U.S. forces conducted more than 110 cases of aerial spying, the KCNA said, citing a military source. Reconnaissance planes of U-2, RC-135, E-3, EP-3 were deployed for the scouts, it said.

Meanwhile, South Korean forces used three or four RC-800 and RF-4C spy planes to observe and photograph the frontline and central region of the DPRK, and committed at least 50 cases of scout flights against the DPRK in March, the news agency added.

The U.S. and South Korean aerial spying activities were "a grave military provocation to the DPRK" and "an infringement upon its sovereignty," said the agency.
