Li Changchun, senior official of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), said here that the CPC and the National Action Party of Mexico advance their friendly exchanges.

Li made the remarks during a meeting Thursday afternoon with Manuel Espino, president of the National Action Party of Mexico.

Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said in the new circumstances of multilateralism and globalization of world economy, China and Mexico faces similar opportunities and challenges. Therefore, He said the CPC is willing to have closer friendship and exchanges with the National Action Party of Mexico.

Espino made affirmative response to Li's comment and suggestions on enhancing relations between the ruling parties of the two countries.

Espino said as the ruling party of Mexico, the National Action Party has been working for developing Mexico-China friendship over the long term and advancing cooperation between the two countries to higher stages.

In the new times, the National Action Party is ready to continue to strengthen exchanges with the CPC. It is also willing to make greater effort to promote the exchanges between political parties in Latin America and the Chinese side, Espino said.

National Action Party is one of the major political parties in Mexico. It has been the ruling party of Mexico since 2000. Incumbent Mexican President Felipe Calderon Wednesday met with Li Changchun, who arrived in Mexico city for a goodwill visit at the invitation of the Mexican government.
