Islamic Development Bank to loan Togo 10 mln U.S. dollars

The Islamic Development Bank (BID) will grant a loan of 7 million Dinars (about 10 million U.S. dollars) to the Togolese government, Togolese Ministry of Territory Development and Decentralization announced on Friday.

The loan, which extends over a span of 25 years with seven- year's grace, will be used to construct and equip 22 new health facilities and expand 12 others across the country, according to the ministry.

The loan agreement was signed on Thursday by the Togolese Territory Development and Decentralization Minister Yandja Yentchabre and the Islamic Development Bank Vice-President Boubacar Cisse.
