Seven people, three of them members of a family, were killed and 30 injured when a bus plunged into a ditch in Bangladesh's Rajbari district, 80 km west of capital Dhaka, on Saturday, private news agency UNB reported.

Police and local sources said the bus plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver "lost control over the steering."

Four people died on the spot in the fatal accident at about 11 a.m. The injured people were sent to nearby hospitals and three of them died.
