"Spotlight Hong Kong", the first showcase of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's (SAR) contemporary arts in Singapore, was launched here on Friday evening.
During the showcase, some 120 artists will perform in 36 shows offering dance, music, theater, film, visual arts and literary arts.
"Spotlight Hong Kong marks another significant milestone in the cultural relations between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Singapore," said Lee Boon Yang, Singapore's Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, at the opening ceremony.
The two cities have frequent exchanges in the area of arts and culture, ranging from the arts and heritage to libraries and design promotion, Lee said.
The first spotlight event, "Spotlight Singapore in Hong Kong", was showcased last year.
Hong Kong's Secretary for Home Affairs Patrick Ho, who is here for four-day visit, also presented at the ceremony.
He met with Lee on Thursday and discussed developments in arts, design and conservation sectors and how both cities could promote more exchanges.
