Jordanian king calls for dialogue between Lebanese political parties
font size

Jordan's King Abdullah II on Monday urged the Lebanese political parties to adopt the logic of dialogue to solve the disputes for the sake of Lebanon, the official Petra news agency reported.

King Abdullah made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora, during which he reaffirmed Jordan's full support to the efforts exerted to keep the Lebanese sovereignty and achieve the national reconciliation.

Seniora briefed Abdullah on the latest developments on the Lebanese track and the outcomes of an international donor conference held in Paris on Jan. 25.

Lebanon obtained 7.62 billion U.S. dollars in aid and loan pledges during the conference to help it recover from a conflict with Israel last summer.
