font size

Turkish Red Crescent has sent a batch of humanitarian aid goods to African countries of Ethiopia and Kenya to support their fighting against drought and hunger, the Anatolia news agency reported here Monday.

A statement by the humanitarian organization was quoted as saying that the first part of the aid, transported by two Turkish Airlines cargo aircraft, consisted of tents, blankets, canvas and hygienic materials.

Nearly 273,000 U.S. dollars of the aid will be delivered to Ethiopian and Kenyan officials at ceremonies to be held on Monday and Tuesday, said the statement.
