Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, met with Emil Boc, chairman of the Romania Democratic Party in Beijing on Friday .
Wu said China and Romania had enjoyed long-term friendly relations, which withstood the changes in the international situation. He noted the two countries had maintained high-level exchanges of visits, and cooperation on trade, culture and education fruitful.
He expressed appreciation for the support of Romania on the issues of Taiwan and Tibet.
On the party-to-party relations, Wu noted the CPC had attached importance to the relations with Romania Democratic Party, and would like to enhance the cooperation to make new contribution for Sino-Romania friendship in the new era.
Boc said Romania Democratic Party and government had valued friendly relations with the CPC and Chinese government, and would continue its adherence to one-China policy.
He vowed to push forward the reciprocal cooperation in the political, economic, and infrastructure fields, as well as the exchanges between China and the European Union.
