China and Benin should expand cooperation in agriculture and infrastructure, said President Hu Jintao Monday when meeting with Beninese President Thomas Boni Yayi.

China-Benin relations have witnessed smooth development, and the agreements signed by the two countries have been actively implemented, Hu said.

Benin will work with China to push forward bilateral relations in the direction of strategic partnership, said Yayi, who is here for the two-day landmark Beijing Summit of the Forum on China- Africa Cooperation that concluded Sunday afternoon.
