Senior Chinese leader returns home after visits to four European nations

Senior Chinese leader Jia Qinglin returned to Beijing on Saturday after visits to the United Kingdom (UK), Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine.

His visits were at the invitation of the British government, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktoras Muntianas, President of the Parliament of Estoniaand Toomas Varek and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ukraine Olexander Moroz.

Jia is the member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top advisory organ.
