Japanese government accused of Chongqing Bombings |

 Chinese accusers and Japanese lawyers of Chongqing Bombings Lawsuit demonstrate outside the Tokyo District Court in Tokyo, capital of Japan, Oct. 25, 2006. Tokyo District Court held the state procedure of the Chongqing Bombings Lawsuit on Wednesday. Four Chinese accusers gave account of the Chongqing Bombings in 1938 and their tragedies, asking for apology and compensation from Japanese government. The Japanese army indiscriminately bombed Chongqing and nearby Leshan, Chengdu of the Sichuan province between 1938 and 1943. A recent study by a Chinese group shows that the bombings killed 23, 600 people and wounded 37,700 people.
