Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong held talks with Argentine Vice President Daniel Osvaldo Scioli Wednesday in Beijing, pledging to boost strategic partnership between the two countries.

To enhance cooperation between China and Argentina not only complies with the fundamental interests of the two countries, but also benefits peace and stability of the world, said Zeng.

Zeng hoped the two countries will make joint efforts to lift China-Argentina strategic partnership to a new height and appreciated Argentina's adherence to one-China policy.

Scioli is paying an official visit to China from Oct. 25 to 28 at the invitation of Zeng.

Argentina-China relations are at a stage of sound development and Argentina gives priority to the relations with China in its foreign policy, said Scioli.

Argentina thanked China for China's support in a range of important issues, Scioli said, adding that the Latin American nation is willing to cement ties with China in view of its rapid economic development and social stability.

Scioli reiterated Argentina's firm adherence to one-China policy.
