Uganda to host Table Tennis Open
font size

The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) is to host Uganda Table Tennis Open at the SYTTAC table tennis complex in Kampala on October 20-22.

According to the tournament coordinator Paul Mutambuze, over 10 foreign clubs from Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda are expected to join the local players in Uganda's top table tennis event.

"They have confirmed that they will be here by Friday. They will boost the competition," said Mutambuze.

Kevin Mafabi will be defending the men's single title he got in last year's edition, while Amina Lukaya, the women champion, will not defend her title because the dates clash with her UCE examinations.

Sekanyolya club and Mbale Tigers club are the men and women team defending champions respectively.
