Poland's Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski accepted on Tuesday the resignation of Anna Kalata, Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Polish government spokesman Jan Dziedziczak was quoted as saying by the Polish news agency.
Dziedziczak added that the prime minister would call on the president to recall Anna Kalata to the post in "the nearest future."
Kalata, who is from Self-Defence Party, told reporters that her resignation was linked with the expiration of the coalition agreement and the dismissal of the Self-Defence Party's leader Andrzej Lepper.
Andrzej Lepper was fired as Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister last Friday, and he warned that other cabinet ministers from his party would also leave.
However, Construction Minister Antoni Jaszczak, also from the Self-Defence Party, said on Monday he was not going to resign and was waiting for the decision of the prime minister.
