Some 30 Romanian and US pilots are holding a three-week-long exercise at the Mihail Kogalniceanu airport near the Black Sea coastal city of Constanta, local media reported on Friday.
A total of 14 F-16 fighters and eight MiG fighters joined the exercise, with a code name of "Viper Lance 06", it said.
According to Romanian military press officer Cristian Popovici, the exercise aimed to train the Romanian and US pilots in joint formations in combined air operation and low altitude operations.
US side press office Mike Cumberworth noted that it was a good opportunity for the pilots from both sides to improve their skills.
