The 30th summit of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur) ended here on Friday, with leaders of South America's biggest trade bloc pledging to promote regional integration.

The leaders praised the progress made on Mercosur's planned customs union, agreed to tackle the economic imbalance within the bloc, and promised to establish the Mercosur parliament by the end of the year, said the final declaration adopted at the two-day meeting that was held in the Argentine city of Cordoba on Thursday and Friday.
