Raptors get Israel star Anthony Parker
font size

Anthony Parker signed with the NBA Toronto Raptors on Thursday, according to the league.

The 31-year-old American, a Maccabi Tel Aviv swingman, has been MVP in the Euroleague the past two seasons.

Parker spent three seasons with Philadelphia and Orlando before joining Maccabi in 2000. He led the team to five Israeli championships, three Euroleague championships and a Suproleague title.

He also spent the 2002-03 season with Virtus Roma in Italy - the lone season between 2000-06 that Maccabi failed to win either the Israeli title or Cup.
