Venezuela's Italian community celebrate home team's World Cup win
Italian football fans followed Sunday's World Cup final minute by minute in the Centro Italo, the Italian cultural center in Venezuela's capital Caracas, breaking into cheers with the final winning penalty.
Maria Real, an Azzuri fan, told local television station Globovision that from the start of the game, she was certain that Italy would win.
France's ambassador to Venezuela, Pierre Jean Vandoorn, told the same television channel he was saddened by the violent exit from Zinedine Zidane from the World Cup, adding that on Monday the real reason for his warning would be known.
He also said that the real winner of the Cup was the host nation Germany.
