Li Changchun visits photo show commemorating CPC's anniversary

Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited a photo exhibition marking CPC's 85th founding anniversary Friday.

In his speech, Li said that the Party has been constantly striving for the independence, emancipation and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the liberty, democracy and fortune of the Chinese people over the past 85 years.

He called for studying, understanding and publicizing an important speech made by Hu Jintao, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, at Friday's official gathering to celebrate the Party's anniversary.

Li was accompanied by Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee..

The photo show, which is located at the China National Museum in central Beijing, is sponsored by the CPC Committee of Zhejiang Province.
