The Nepali government is set to come up with a policy of nationalizing all the private schools, state run Radio Nepal reported Thursday.
"The government is effortful to prepare a clear educational policy as to increase the access of all people in education," the radio quoted Mangalsidhi Manadhar, Nepali minister for Education and Sports, as saying.
The government was committed to offer equal quality education to eliminate the vast gap seen between private and government schools, Manandhar said.
Manandhar also stressed on the need to have uniform textbooks in both the private and government schools in order to bring similarity in the educational standard.
"The use of different textbooks in private and government schools led to discrepancy in educational standard," he added.
