Senior CPC official vows to enhance party relations with Germany
font size

Wu Guanzheng, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said Tuesday in Beijing that China is ready to promote cooperation with Germany to push forward bilateral relations.

Wu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with Chairman of German Left Party Lothar Bisky.

China and Germany share similar or identical views on international and regional issues and the development of China-Germany partnership complies with the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples, said Wu.

The two countries have also carried out effective cooperation in such fields as trade, science and technology and culture, said Wu.

"German Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to China last month has further prompted Sino-German ties," he said.

Bisky spoke highly of Germany-China friendly cooperation in various fields, saying his party will keep dialogue and communications with the CPC to facilitate nation-to-nation relations.
