To greet the upcoming Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese traditional lunar calendar, the community of Lianhuawucun Village held a special Zongzi-making contest on Monday, which attracted local residents and foreigners. Zongzi, a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped up with bamboo or reed leaves, is the traditional food for Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.
