Afghan President condemns bomb attacks in Egypt

Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has termed the bomb attacks on a resort in Egypt as a terrorist act and strongly condemned it.

"This attack is a barbaric act of terrorism and I condemn it in the strongest terms," he said in a statement issued by his office on Tuesday. The Afghan leader in his statement also stressed for collective and coordinated war on terrorism.

"This attack reminds us that the fight against terrorism is a top international priority and the international community must fight this menace with a coordinated and integrated approach." President Karzai emphasized in the statement.

Three explosions rocked Egyptian Sinai resort city of Dahab on Monday evening left at least 25 dead and over 100 others, according to media reports were injured.

President Karzai in the statement also expressed sympathy and extended condolences to the families of the victims and the people and government of Egypt.
