font size

The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) will officially endorse the elected senators within 5-7 days, according to EC sources Thursday.

The election watchdog has so far received the official vote count report of all Bangkok's constituencies.

Official reports from all other provinces' constituencies are expected to be sent to the EC headquarters here by noon Thursday, according to the election watchdog.

After receiving all official vote count reports from all provinces nationwide, the EC would re-check the vote counts before officially endorse the elected senators for the Upper House, an EC source told journalists Thursday morning.

Bangkok will have 18 elected senators totally, out of a total of 200 elected senators nationwide.
