Death toll of Kurdish rebels rises to 14
Three more bodies of the militants of the outlawed Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) were found, bringing the number of the Kurdish rebels killed by Turkish security forces in eastern Turkey to 14 on Saturday.
The semi-official Anatolia news agency earlier reported that the security forces staged operation against PKK militants in Senyayla rural area of Mus province, killing 11 Kurdish rebels.
The security forces were continuing to search the region, added the report.
Violence in eastern and southeastern Turkey has flared up since the PKK called off a five-year unilateral ceasefire in June 2004.
At least 37,000 people have been killed since PKK fought against the Turkish government for an independent Kurdish state in the country's southeast in 1984.
The PKK is blacklisted a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
