Liaoning Hunters exploited their home advantages to tie the first round playoff 1-1 against Bayi Rockets in the China Basketball Association (CBA) league matches on Saturday.

After losing the first encounter 110-94, the Hunters savored their revenge by downing the visitors 117-108.

Both Bian Qiang and Gu Liye, absent for the opener due to injuries, returned to the court to combine for 25 points on 8-of-13 shooting, boosting the morale for the struggling youngesters who controlled the board by 29-16.

Yue Pengfei and Zhang Qingpeng hit 29 and 27 points respectively, including nine three-pointers, to help Liaoning lead from the second period.

Li Nan scored game-high 31 points for the Rockets, including 14 points in the last period, but was unable to stop the Hunters from winning their home game.

In Yunnan, the Beijing Ducks outscored the home side 106-97 as Zhang Yunsong led the visitors with 30 points, including six three-pointers, and were closer to the semifinal with two more home games at hand.

Menk Bateer made 26 points and 21 boards to ensure the victory for the Ducks.

Yunnan Honghe who pushed the Ducks throughout, were outrebounded by 44-32 and face the do-or-die third match at home on Sunday.
