font size

A group of 12 fishermen, who have been missing after their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea off Karachi coast, were rescued on Saturday, officials said.

The Al-Zahra fishing launch capsized Friday night in the Churna area, about 25 km west of the port city Karachi's coast. Two of the 14 fishermen swam to the shore and the other 12 were rescued, according to Maritime Security Agency (GSA).

A Pakistan Navy spokesman said that the navy launched search operations after the incident and spotted the fisher men several kilometers from the scene of the incident.

He said that all the fishermen were in stable condition and they would soon be brought back to Karachi.
