Eighteen Zambians and two Somali nationals have been arrested recently in Zambia for suspected cultivating, possessing and trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances, the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) said here Saturday.

DEC Public Relations Officer Rosten Chulu said in a statement that the commission nabbed Ali Abdnisir, 46, a Somali national in Chaisa compound in Lusaka, who was found with 10 sachets of heroin and diazepam weighing 955 grams while another Somali, Saidi Yassin Duale, 32, was arrested in the same compound for trafficking five bundles of drug weighing 1.837 kg.
