Bomb rocks Nepali official's residence

Suspected anti-government guerrillas detonated a powerful bomb at the residence of Assistant Minister Toran Bahadur Gurung in Kathmandu Saturday evening.

Talking to reporters, Assistant Minister for General Administration Gurung said the explosion took place at around 7:30 p.m. local time (1345 GMT).

The three-story building and a vehicle suffered minor damage from the blast.

Security forces rushed to the scene and an investigation into the incident is underway.
