Security patrol was enhanced Saturday with stringent security check and search operations in place so as to make the security system of Nepali capital, the Kathmandu valley, stronger and effective, the Home Ministry said.

The additional measures were taken due to the possibility of infiltration of the terrorist group, that has been involved in murder and abduction of innocent and poor people, destroying individual and public property and physical infrastructure, extortion and reigning terror, into the valley, the ministry was quoted by Radio Nepal as saying.

Likewise, arrangement has been made for full checking of passengers and vehicles at various locations of the entry points and highway leading to the Kathmandu Valley, a statement released by the Ministry said.

In case of any kind of suspicious or untoward activity, the Ministry requested one and all to immediately call the Ministry's control room, the Police Headquarters, the Valley Divisional Headquarters of the RNA or the Valley Police Control Room in Kathmandu and the nearest security body outside Kathmandu Valley.

The Ministry also asked one and all to carry with them during travel any document that gives their identity, as the security personnel may demand for such document during checking.
