New York police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in his car after the vehicle careened into several parked car on a Brooklyn street early Tuesday morning.
Frederick Klein, 47, was shot in the arm and chest as he was moving his Dodge Caravan for alternate side of the street parking.
The minivan slammed into several parked cars on Carroll Street, before coming to a stop. Friends of the victim told police that Klein leaves behind three children, including a son who is supposed to get married next week.
"He was a very good person, a kind person, always was helping anyone in the community, was always smiling and he was a good person," said a Jewish Community Leader in the area where the victim used to live.
Police are still probing into the motive for the shooting and so far no arrests have been made. The local Jewish community council has offered a 10,000-dollar reward for information.
