C. China province posts double-digit GDP growth

The gross domestic product (GDP) of central China's Henan Province surged 14.1 percent year-on-year to 1.05 trillion yuan (131.68 billion U.S. dollars) last year, according to government statistics.

The output value of the province's primary industry, which includes agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, reached 184.3 billion yuan (about 23 billion U.S. dollars) last year, a year-on-year rise of 7.5 percent.

The output value of the industrial sector shot up 17.6 percent to 553.93 billion yuan last year, and the output value of the tertiary sector, which includes commerce, finance, trust and investment, and various services, rose 12.6 percent to 315.28 billion yuan.

The province's per capita GDP topped 10,000 yuan (about 1,250 U.S. dollars) last year.
