font size

Two Iraqi policemen were killed in separate attacks in Baghdad and the police found seven unidentified corpses, a police source told Xinhua on Monday.

"The two policemen were shot dead by unknown insurgents separately in Baghdad's northern district of Aadhamiyah and the northwestern district of Shula," Captain Ahmed Abdullah said.

He said the police also discovered seven unidentified corpses in Baghdad.

"Three of them were found at the pools of the al-Rustamiyah sewage water treatment facility in southern capital," Abdullah, from Baghdad police, said.

"The four other corpses were found in several sites of Baghdad, " he said.

The Iraqi security forces said almost everyday they could find corpses in the al-Rustamiyah sewage water treatment facility and other parts of the capital, as sectarian tension rises among Shiite and Sunni Muslims in Baghdad and other cities of the war- torn country.
