Dairibord Zimbabwe Limited has changed its name to DZL Holdings Limited following the expansion of its business in recent years.

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange has approved the company's proposed new share certificate bearing the new name.

"Shareholders are now advised that the new share certificate has been approved and will go into circulation with effect from January 1, 2006," the company said in circular to shareholders on Sunday.

DZL Holdings Limited now has six associate and subsidiary companies under its flagship. These are Martindale Private Limited, trading as Lyons, NFB Logistics Pvt Ltd, M.E. Charhons Pvt Ltd, Dairibord Malawi, Lyondell Estates and Property Holding Company ( PHC).

The five companies, excluding PHC, operate under DZL flagship.

The restructuring should turn the company into a focused group deepening operational efficiency and broadening business growth.

DZL, which was privatized in 1997, was the country's biggest milk processor.

It exports products to member countries of the Southern African Development Community and the Common Market for East and Southern Africa. It operated a subsidiary in Malawi.
