Vice premier stresses safety in civil aviation
font size

Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju said in Beijing Monday that the civil aviation sector should pay more attention to enhance safety in flight.

The vice premier made the remarks when meeting with some delegates attending the national work conference on civil aviation held on Monday.

The civil aviation department laid great emphasis on safety and ensured safe flight for the whole sector in 2005, said Huang.

The volume of transport kept rapid growth and the whole sector has achieved profits in the year despite of the oil price hike, he said

Safety is of special significance to civil aviation and should be put at top priority, Huang said.

Concerned regulations and mechanisms should be made to guarantee safety work, he said, adding that efforts should also go to establishment of technology systems and emergency rescue systems.

Huang also said that more money should be invested to improve safety work of the civil aviation.
