China has begun a research on energy plants and development of bio-diesel, and at the same time is ready to cooperate with biological fuel oil producers in the country to start industrial production, which is learned from the First China Forestry Academic Conference held in Hangzhou on November 10, reports the overseas edition of People's Daily on November 11.
In recent years, China has started the trial bio-diesel research and development work, and in the meantime achieved a breakthrough in bio-diesel industrial operation, said Wang Tao, academician with the China Academy of Engineering and chief scientist of the Chinese Academy of Forestry (CAF).
The Zhenghe Biological Energy Company Ltd in Hainan has reportedly set up a bio-diesel production base with a capacity of nearly 10,000 tons. Not long ago, relevant senior academicians, experts and scholars passed the technological appraisal of its bio-diesel product and manufacturing process, confirming that its bio-diesel product has reached the bio-diesel standards of the United States. In addition, new energy development companies in Sichuan and Fujian also exploited the bio-diesel production technologies with their proprietary intellectual property rights.
It is learned that bio-energy is the solar energy trapped in plants through plants' photosynthesis on the earth. Bio-oil will be manufactured through processing the produce, which is a substitute for petroleum energy. The use of it can effectively reduce human reliance on fossil energy, so various countries in the world have devoted themselves to developing applied technologies of high-efficient and pollution-free bio-energy.
