A Swedish newspaper published on Nov. 6 high-definition photos of H5N1 bird flu
virus. It is the first time for such photos to be seen by the public.
The photos are taken by science and technology photographer Lennart Nilsson with high-power scanning electron microscope.
It is said that Nilsson gained virus samples from the World Health Organization (WHO) and brought them to Karolinska Medical University for cultivation.
The virus samples were taken from a father and his daughter of Chinese Hong Kong that died of bird flu two years ago.
