Chinese president congratulates Mubarak on reelection

Chinese President Hu Jintao has sent a message to congratulate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on winning the presidential election again, Chinese Foreign Ministry

Spokesman Qin Gang said in Beijing Monday.

Qin expressed the belief that with the leadership of Mubarak, Egyptian people will achieve more progress in building their country, and the China-Egypt strategic partnership of cooperation will be strengthened.

Egypt held the first multi-candidate presidential election last week and Mubarak will start his fifth term soon.
