Two US soldiers were killed and two others wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Baghdad on Tuesday, the US military said.
The four soldiers, assigned to Task Force Baghdad, were attacked when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device on Tuesday, the military said in a statement.
The names of the killed were being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the statement added.
Earlier, another military statement said that a US soldier was killed on Monday when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle in Iraq's northern town of Tal Afar, some 450 km northwest of Baghdad.
It said the US and Iraqi forces were conducting a military offensive to eradicate insurgency in parts of the town.
Over 1,880 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March 2003, according to media tally.
