China's Chief Justice meets counterparts from four countries

Xiao Yang, China's chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court, on Friday met with his counterparts from Portugal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Tajikistan, who came to Beijing to attend the 22nd Congress on the Law of the World.

Xiao exchanged views on judicial cooperation with Dr. Manuel Dos Santos Serra, president of the Supreme Administrative Court of Portugal, Syed J.R.Mudassir Husain, chief justice of the Supreme People's Court of Bangladesh, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, chief justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Izbillo Khojaev, president of the Supreme Court of Tajikistan and Khalifabobo Khamidov, justice minister of Tajikistan.

The 22nd Congress on the Law of the World will be convened from Sept. 5 to 10 in Beijing and Shanghai.
