The China-Russia working group aiming to standardize the irregular bilateral trade hold its second meeting on August 10 in Beijing. China and Russia has reached consensus on solving the issue of Russia's seizure of imported shoes from China's Wenzhou city.

Russia confiscated some 9.7 million USD worth of Chinese shoes in March this year, accusing Chinese merchants in Russia of smuggling by bringing these shoes into Russia through the "grey customs clearance" channel.
